Looking Back and Facing Future

We are coming to the transition of the year once more. It's an excellent time to reflect upon what the year brought us. Here are a few suggestions to get the process started:

What moment brought us the most joy?

What was the most significant obstacle we overcame in 2021?

When we take the time to reflect, we gain clarity on where we need to focus our energy moving forward.

As we begin to plan for the year ahead, let’s look at the vibration of 2022.

What the numbers can tell us.

Numerology is the study of numbers. The most popular school of numerology has its roots in Pythagoras' work. Pythagoras was a Greek mathematician and mystic. He believed that numbers carry vibration and unique frequencies and that each digit contains keys and codes.

Each year has its own vibration as well, and this theme is the backdrop against which we all live out our personal lives. The theme changes as the year changes.

Here’s a look back at what we are leaving behind and a glimpse at what the coming year brings.

The Universal Year

The energy of the Universal Year affects all of us and represents a collective influence. The impact of the Universal Year expresses itself differently in our individual lives based upon the vibration of our personal year number.

2021

This year was all about the theme of freedom and what it means to each of us. How did we respond to the situations that confronted us in 2021?

The other dominant theme of 2021 was fear and fearlessness. What was your biggest fear this year? How did you confront it?

The '5' vibration of 2021 (2+0+2+1=5) is catalytic energy and brought sudden changes for many of us. If you are one of the people who found yourself packing up and relocating, you are not alone.

The highest octave of the number 5 is the true freedom of transcendence. A spiritually aware person can be liberated even during periods of confinement and constraint.

After a year of assessing what freedom means to us, we are ready to discover what home is to us individually.

2022

This coming year has repeating '2s' in it, and repetition amplifies the power of the number.

Additionally, 'zero' is considered an amplifier, and here it magnifies the triple 2's of 2022.

This year carries the vibration of '6' (2+0+2+2=6), and the frequency encoded in the number 6 is all about service, duty, family, responsibility, and creative pursuits.

Another question we explore this year is about home. Where do we feel most at home? It isn't only about our individual physical home. It's also about our planetary home and our place in the Universe.

On a collective level, the 6 is about re-visioning our world. We spent 2021 separating ourselves and splintering off into smaller segments. Now we must decide how we will deal with the issues that face us all.

We have an opportunity to come to terms with what is next for humanity. The energy of 2022 will support innovation and thinking out of the box.

Will we move forward together or continue to separate ourselves from each other?

Although the 6 is idealistic and visionary, the shadow side of the 6 is control, perfectionism, and judgment. Our relationships will likely shift along with our beliefs.

Those triple 2's are about partnership and relationship. The 2 is about balance and supportive, emotional connection. Because the 2 repeats itself, the emphasis is going to be on finding balance in our lives against the backdrop of continuing change.

Face the future.

After taking a few minutes to reflect upon 2021, here are some things you can do to solidify your vision for your 2022:

1.    Spend some time imagining where you want to be at this time next year.

2.    Describe how you feel about what you accomplished in 2022.

3.    Congratulate yourself for your victories.

4.    Be gentle with yourself for where you think you fell short.

We have reached the end of another 12 months, and the cycle is turning more quickly for many of us. Yet, we also have the beautiful opportunity to start fresh as the next turn of the wheel begins.
